About Us
History
Connecting Hands began with a wish to find a better way to help our neighbors while making confidentiality a priority and more efficiently coordinating the local volunteer service providers. Wishes can come true
Mission Statement
We are a non-profit organization that helps neighbors in need. Our mission is to create a community of compassion and support, where no one has to face hardship alone. We provide assistance with food, clothing, rent, utilities, medical bills, and other essential needs. We also offer counseling, referrals, and advocacy to help our neighbors overcome their challenges and achieve their goals.
Dignity
We believe that everyone deserves dignity and respect, regardless of their circumstances. We treat our clients as neighbors, not as numbers. We listen to their stories, understand their needs, and tailor our services to meet them. We work with local partners and volunteers to leverage our resources and maximize our impact.
Discretion
Everybody needs help at some point in their life. Asking for help should not be embarrasing. Your request for help will be kept as confidential as possible.
Donors
We are inspired by the generosity and kindness of our donors and supporters, who make our work
possible. We are grateful for their trust and commitment to our cause. We are
accountable to them and to our clients, and we strive to be transparent and
efficient in our operations.
We invite you to join us in making a
difference in the lives of our neighbors in need. You can donate, volunteer, or
spread the word about our work. Together, we can build a stronger and more
caring community.
